Direct Paper Yellow is a chemical which is usually used in textile industries for the dyeing of the cellulosic fibres like cotton, viscous rayon, jute, acetate and flax. It is also suitable for the colouring of the leather and is also useful in paper coloration. It has a good solubility in water to make a red light yellow solution but it is insoluble in organic solvents. Direct Paper Yellow has a colouring index value of C.I. 40000 and having a chemical formula of C16H10N2Na2O7S2 with a molecular weight approximately equals to 452.3693 grams per mol. It is recommended to avoid contact with eyes or ingestion and to keep it away from sunlight and heat sources.
